Zack Curry

Pastor

I was born and raised in the incredible city of Chico, CA and I am the oldest of five kids. I was home schooled for a couple of years in elementary school, attended Chico Christian School, Champion Christian School (junior high), and Pleasant Valley High School for all four years of high school. While in high school, I was part of a significant move of God in the junior and senior high schools in Chico. Our campus club grew to over 200 as God used students to lead their friends to the Lord, serve, and minister to their campus. This experience greatly impacted my life and for the past thirteen years I have been ministering to students across America.

Following high school, I worked for a national campus ministry, training and equipping students and leaders in the transformation of their schools. I graduated from Chico State with a degree in Organizational Communication and while I was there my passion for God to move through students in their schools continued on the Chico State campus. I am passionate about working with the whole body of Christ and giving back to my community through service. My heart's desire is that students have deep encounters with God, building a foundation of intimacy that will last, especially as they transition in to college. Another passion I have is that students know who they are and can identify some of the areas they are called to pursue for the glory of God. His other significant ministry focus is ministering to orphans in Uganda, Africa.

I am married to my beautiful wife Melissa, who is a registered nurse. Together we have two beautiful little girls, Grace and Olivia.

Ministries 
I am the Director of Student Ministries and supervises both Jr. High and Senior High ministries. In addition to this, I lead worship and give leadership to the other worship teams at Neighborhood church. 

Education
I hold a degree in Organizational Communications with a minor in Business Administration from California State University, Chico I obtained in 2007.

Interesting Facts

• I love to try random food from different countries: i.e. grasshoppers, goat tongue, and any other authentic cross-cultural food.
• I have been bungee jumping over the Nile River.
• I really like to play Pinochle
