HIGH SCHOOL

Our High School Ministry at Neighborhood Church is

for 9th – 12th graders.

We are all about creating relationships and opportunities that enable students to connect with God and one another. During the school year we meet Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Youth Center. We also spend time together on Sunday Mornings. We start with worship in the main sanctuary at 11:00, and then youth are dismissed for our own teaching time.

Check out our info below for more details on what’s going on this month!

 Happy Spring

WHAT’S COMING UP:

THIS WEEK: GET THE SCOOP NIGHT
Get the Scoop night is a chance for leaders and students to connect and it gives students an opportunity to learn more about their leaders. This week Tami Smith and Mike Mendon will be sharing their story and we will get to enjoy some ice cream together.

AFTER DARK: APRIL 10TH & APRIL 24TH
After Dark is a time for more conversations and community after youth group. Parents are welcome to join if they want. So this month we will be going to McDonalds (April 10th) and Jon & Bons (April 24th).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: EASTER EGG HUNT APRIL 20TH

We are looking for volunteers to come help with Neighborhood Church’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Opportunities will include putting eggs out, supervising the jump house, greeting, face painting, and more. If you and your student are interested please let us know. We are asking volunteers to arrive by 8:30am April 20th. We hope to be finished and cleaned up by 2pm. This is a good time to volunteer with your teen.

EASTER EGG STUFFERS

We need candy to stuff our easter eggs with, as a youth group we are making it our goal to stuff 2,000 Easter eggs for the Egg Hunt on April 20th. We have the eggs and we just need the fillers. So for the next 3 weeks if you bring in a bag of candy we are offering free Dip N’ Dots.

2ND ANNUAL MINI GOLF CLASSIC

We are excited to announce that our 2nd annual Mini Golf Classic is scheduled for Wednesday May 1st at FunLand Mini Golf Course. More details to come soon.

WHERE WE’RE GROWING THIS MONTH…

JESUS LOVES: A 4-WEEK SERIES ON JESUS

SERIES OVERVIEW:
“Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” If you grew up going to church, it’s probably the first song about Jesus you can remember singing. “Jesus loves me” may seem like a pretty straightforward and foundational belief, but let’s be honest . . . singing about Jesus’ love is a lot easier than actually imitating it. In this 4-week series, you’ll challenge students to observe, imitate, and be transformed by the radical love of Jesus for all people, but specifically His love for children, for the poor, for the stranger, and for the sinner.

PARENT TIP OF THE MONTH

Let’s talk social media for a second, shall we? Do you know what social media platforms your kid is using? Here’s your homework for this month: 1) Figure out which platforms your teenager is using. 2) Set up an account on those platforms. 3) Figure out how they work
